Reading the Bible can be life-changing, but it can also feel intimidating and overwhelming. This 5-day a week plan is designed to help people read through the Bible in one year.

Whether you are a first-time reader or returning to the Bible after a break, this plan offers structure, encouragement, and reflection.  If it’s too much to read in one day, use it as a guideline and take two years to read through the Bible.

Below is a widely used 5-day a week reading plan that we have shared with our congregation. Click on the pdf to download it.

Why Use This Plan

  • Short daily readings that are easy to fit into your schedule
  • Prompts and reflections to deepen understanding
  • Encouragement to read with others or discuss questions
  • Flexible pace – read on your own or with a group
  • Open to all backgrounds and levels of experience

How It Works

  1. Download the PDF plan above.
  2. Follow the daily Scripture reading. You can adapt it to a slower pace if that is better for you. The most important thing is to start reading.
  3. Reflect on the passages and, if you like, discuss with a friend.

Tip: Reading consistently, even just a few minutes a day, strengthens your spirit and provides guidance for life’s journey.

Join us on Wednesday nights for a Bible study.

If you want to go further, you can also join our weekly Bible and Torah study groups. Participants share insights, ask questions, and encourage one another as they grow in understanding. Currently, we are in a study called Sacred Echoes, which is a survey of the books of the Tanakh (Old Testament). We meet every Wednesday at 7 pm. The study is interactive, and all are welcome. We are located at Exit 61 of the Long Island Expressway on the South Service Road.
